We all know where the most powerful sa'angreal and the third most powerful sa'angreal are, but what about the second? The answer: Bayle Domon has it in his collection of weird things.
Look at what we know of his collection.
1. the seal
2. the ivory statue(looks alot like Moirain's angreal)
3. the crystal rod (looks alot like the female sa'angreal used in Mat's healing)
Could it be that this rod is the elusive second most powerful male sa'angreal?
We know that the rod sa'angreal in the tower is the most powerful female sa'angreal that has been found, so could it be that the crystal rod that Bayle has is the matching male sa'angreal?
Burr says: But if the crystal rod in the tower is the female equivalent of the second most powerful sa'angrael, then shouldn't it be at least as powerful than Callandor? I get the feeling that, though it may be the strongest found by the Tower, it is far from being the equivalent of even Callandor, much less the second most powerful male sa'angrael.

When Nynaeve observes the AS using it, in a circle no less, she commments that she could probably channel half as much unaided.
That's assuming my memory serves me correctly

Do you think the lightstick is the Sa'Angreal or does Bayle accuire the Rod later. But it's described as a plain glass rod so you probably think of this. I don't think that a lightstick is a Sa'Angreal and here's the quote why: "Lightsticks shattered like glass, too; he nearly lost Spray in the fire by the first he owned". So if you are refering to this I have to dissapoint you. But about the Angreal you'r probably right, here's the quote: "who sold it [ivory statue] had claimed it if you held it long you started to feel warm". Egwene has a different experience when touching a Angreal in Tanchico in Tel. So the man who sold it was probably a male channler who could have used it better than Bayle.

Bayle Domon has his collection no more. All his belongings were handed over to High Lord Turak (sp?), when Egeanin intercepted his ship near Falme.
to Turak if I recall it right. The other things remained at his ship. But if he lost this ship now so I'm not sure he the things still.

...Then Eagenin may have them. She did end up buying him afterall. Of course other things of his may have been auctioned off. I recall that Eagenin made a comment about how expensive Bayles freedom was to her, so she may not have had the money to get his precious items.
If the item is indeed the male sa'angreal that has been alluded to, then I imagine we'll find out sooner or later what happened to it.
Sooner or later it all connects back to itself.
but I believe that though it wasn't the crystal rod, Domon probably does have that. He has SO many strange things. How many people walk around with a seal (which the Amyrlin is supposed to keep)? Even if the second sa' isn't his, his collection will likely prove of importance in the future.

I remember Moraine or someone else saying something like "Callandor is a very powerful Sa'Angreal. Only 2 were more powerful." Many people here seem to be assuming that this means that there is a most powerful one, and a second most powerful one. The way I see it is that the Female Statue Thing Sa'Angreal and the Male Statue Thing Sa'Angreal (the ones used to cleanse the source) are the two more powerful than Callandor. This means that in terms of power, Callandor is the second most powerful Sa'Angreal, but 2 Sa'Angreal are more powerful than it.
...It was Lanfear who told Rand that there were only two Male Sa'Angreal more powerful than Callandor. If the masculine Choedan Kal was one, then where's the other. By the way isn't the point of a theory board to look at things too deeply?...
Sooner or later it all connects back to itself.
Okay, I'm not exactly looking through the passage or anything, but I'm pretty sure I remember that when Lanfear was talking to Rand in
TSR just before the attack, she talked about this missing sa'angreal as though she didn't even know whether it still
existed. Maybe it was destroyed in the Breaking or something. Or maybe Lanfear knows for a fact it doesn't exist
anymore. Who knows? In any case, from what I've seen of the male Choeden Kal and Callandor, they're powerhouses
enough by themselves! In another note, about those lightsticks... They seem like some kind of lightbulbs or something to
me. Sure, more advanced than ours, but isn't everything in the Age of Legends? Besides, I was thinking it said it didn't
have to do with the One Power anyway... Well, that's about it..
Unless someone finds the quote of Lanfear saying specifically two _male_ Sa'angreal, I think Dave is correct that the 'two more powerful sa'angreal' are the Choeden Kal.
Lanfear:
"'[I won't trust you] with that, certainly,' she added, grimacing at Callandor. 'There are only two more powerful that a man can use. One at least, I know, still exists."
from The Shadow Rising, Chap. 9, p. 182 (paperback)
Maybe the elusive second one is so elusive because it was destroyed.
I think the missing Sa'angreal is in the mountains of mist and was used by its queen in the trolloc wars that subsequently destroyed manetheren. I think it is also possible that this Sa'angreal may be used by either a man or a woman...
I just came across something in "The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time." Page 44 talks about Callandor in the side margin. It says, refering to Callandor "possibly second only to the giant male and female statues..." This seems to indicate it may be the second most powerful, but it still leaves room for doubt. I don't know, but just thought I'd throw that out there and let everyone pick over it.
Pronounced: "Rand was here"
You all are forgetting that the two staues holding the crystal globes are the most pwerfull, and that callandor is second for men. The "ivory" wand is the most powerful sa'angreal the tower has, and although it is certainly weaker than the statue, it isn't necessarily the second most powerful female sa'angreal at all.
When Lanfear referrs to the two more powerful sa'angreal, she referrs to them in present tense. She simply is unsure of what happend to one of them. Jordan must have included Lanfear's comment on the sa'angreal for a specific reason. However, the questions is how come Lanfear seems the only one to posses such knowledge. None of the male Forsaken mention this mysterious sa'angreal.
It can't be that powerful.
